Accessibility

The Armoured Pug aims to make Chronicles of Arynbel usable and readable by as many visitors as reasonably possible.

Our Approach

Building for Access

Accessibility is treated as part of the website's design and development rather than as a separate visual mode.

The site is being built with semantic page structure, keyboard navigation, responsive layouts, readable contrast, descriptive text alternatives where appropriate, and support for visitors who request reduced motion through their operating system or browser.

We will continue reviewing these areas as the site grows.

Navigation

Keyboard and Screen Navigation

The site includes a keyboard-accessible shortcut that allows visitors to skip repeated navigation and move directly to the main page content.

Interactive controls are designed to remain usable without a mouse, and navigation is structured with semantic landmarks and labels intended to support assistive technologies.

If you encounter a control or page that cannot be reached or understood through keyboard or assistive navigation, please let us know.

Visual Experience

Motion, Text, and Images

The site respects reduced-motion preferences and removes non-essential smooth scrolling and decorative transitions when reduced motion is requested.

Text and interface elements are designed around high-contrast dark and parchment surfaces. Informative images should include useful alternative text, while images that are purely decorative may intentionally use empty alternative text so they do not add noise for screen-reader users.

Known Limitations

An Ongoing Process

Chronicles of Arynbel is an evolving site, and some content or third-party services may not provide the same level of accessibility as the core website.

Older material, complex artwork, externally hosted content, retailer pages, social platforms, embedded media, or future third-party tools may introduce limitations that are outside our direct control.

We do not want to claim a level of formal conformance that has not been independently verified. This page describes the accessibility practices and goals currently built into the site.
